Our services

  • Framing

All of our framing is bespoke and meets conservation standards.

This means that each frame is built for the artwork - no ready-mades - and your artwork is framed to a standard that protects it as well as presenting it beautifully.

  • Artist Services

We offer canvas stretching, birch ply panels, crate building.

As well as logistics such as liaising with galleries and couriers.

Whatever you need to make your artistic practice happen.

  • Gallery Services

We work with galleries across the UK, providing so much more than framing.

From conservation and frame repairs to installations, display cases and plinth making.

We work with a wide range of artisans who can fabricate anything for your gallery.

Framing

  • We use Artglass as standard across all of our glazed frames. This not only minimises reflections, but protects the artwork from harmful UV light.

Glazed frames are used when the work is on paper or other media that require protection from the external environment.

  • Tray frames are used for work on canvas or panel and can be as simple as a batten tacked to the artwork or as elaborate as a stepped and multifaceted frame.

See our selection of timbers below.

  • 5-sided acrylic frames are perfect for any work that requires protection, but the edge of the artwork is important to its viewing.

Great for modernist and mid-century work.

  • We work with several metal fabricators who can build frames to any specification in steel, aluminium, brass and more.

Metal frames can be patinated and etched to create a wide range of looks.

  • We’ve developed a reputation as the go-to studio for large scale work.

    The bigger, the better!

In our well-equipped workshop, we can fabricate frames as big as you require.

  • We carry a large stock of hardwood profiles, and we can source many more at your request.

We also offer an in house machining service where we can turn any timber you supply into frames.

Artist Services

  • We offer a professional canvas stretching service.

Whether it’s an existing painting that requires new stretcher bars, or if you want us to build your canvasses and prime them before they reach your studio, we’ve got you covered.

  • We offer a range of painting panels:

    • MDF

    • Birch Ply

    • Hardwood Ply

    • Oil board

Thinner boards can be reinforced with a subframe to prevent bowing.

All boards can be primed if required.

  • For touring exhibitions or for artworks travelling overseas, a crate is a fantastic investment.

We can build foam-lined crates to ensure your work is protected during its travels.

  • We work with a number of specialist art couriers, providing a fully insured and professional service.

For those on a budget, we can protect the artwork and send it via an overnight service.

If the work requires a door-to-door same-day delivery, we make multiple trips to London and across the UK every week.

Gallery Services

  • One of our favourite aspects of framing is developing a distinct language for each of our artists or galleries.

We work closely with curators and exhibiting artists to develop a style of framing that complements the artwork as well as the gallery setting.

This can be achieved through material and colour choices.

A number of our clients now trust us to select the frame that best reflects their aesthetic, something achieved over a long working relationship.

  • We can build plinths from any sheet material and paint them any colour or finish.

Perfect for exhibiting sculptural or ceramic works.

  • Where artefacts such as notebooks or unframed works on paper are being presented, covered display cases are vital for protection.

These can be made using any sheet material, with glass or acrylic windows or boxes on top.

  • We work with a number of conservators who can repair or revive damaged artworks.

Whether it’s a foxed print in need of washing, or a torn canvas in need of relining, we work with fully insured and qualified professionals who can help.

  • If a frame becomes damaged, we will do our best to repair it to its previous state, with as little intervention as possible.
